Before and After: Renovations with CNC-Routed Facades

Changing your furniture facades is one of the renovations with the greatest visual impact at the lowest relative cost. You don't need to replace the cabinets, countertop, or fixtures: by simply replacing the fronts, a ten-year-old kitchen can look brand new. And if you choose a CNC routing, the result has a level of detail and personality that completely transforms the perception of the space.

Scenario 1: From Plain White Melamine to Boston Routing in Grey Lacquer

The problem: an 8-year-old apartment kitchen with plain white melamine facades that looked yellowed, with peeling edges near the dishwasher and a generic appearance.

The solution: replacement of all facades with Boston Routing in medium grey matte lacquered MDF, keeping existing cabinets. Handles were also replaced with an integrated aluminum profile system.

The result: the kitchen went from looking like a standard catalog kitchen to one with personality and character. The Boston routing gave the doors a visual depth that the flat melamine lacked. The cost was approximately one-third of what a complete kitchen redo would have cost.

Work time: 2 days.

Scenario 2: Wardrobe with Flat Doors to Sevilla Fina in White

The problem: a master bedroom with a wall-to-wall wardrobe with flat white melamine doors that looked lifeless and disconnected from the classic style of the bedroom, which had crown moldings and wooden furniture.

The solution: replacement of all four wardrobe doors with Sevilla Fina Routing in warm white semi-matte lacquered MDF. The fine double frame visually connected the wardrobe with the ceiling moldings.

The result: the wardrobe transformed from a neutral, disconnected element into an integral part of the bedroom design.

Scenario 3: TV Unit to Milan Routing in Oak

The problem: a TV unit with white melamine doors that didn't dialogue with the living room's wooden floor or Scandinavian-warm style furniture.

The solution: door replacement with Milan Routing in oak-textured laminated MDF. Milan's geometric minimalism fit perfectly with the Scandinavian aesthetic, and the oak texture connected the unit with the wooden floor.

The result: the TV unit went from a discordant element to a piece that unifies the room.

Scenario 4: Country Kitchen to Atenas Routing in Sage Green

The problem: a country house kitchen with 20-year-old original solid wood doors that were cracked, warped by humidity, and with deteriorated varnish.

The solution: new Atenas Routing facades in sage green matte lacquered MDF. The Atenas arch maintained the rustic character while eliminating humidity and maintenance problems.

The result: the kitchen kept its country soul but with an impeccable finish and a trending color. The matte lacquer on the Atenas routing creates soft shadows evoking Mediterranean portals.

Why Changing Only Facades is the Smartest Renovation

Cost: replacing only facades typically costs 25-40% of a complete kitchen redo. Cabinets, countertop, sink, and fixtures are kept.

Time: a facade renovation completes in 1-3 days, versus 2-4 weeks for a full kitchen remodel.

Visual impact: despite being the most economical option, the visual impact is enormous. Facades are what you see — they're the "face" of the kitchen.
